Studying a New Pneumococcal Disease Vaccine Among Healthy Toddlers
Your child is being asked to join this study because they are healthy, between 12 to 15 months old, and have had 3 doses of Prevnar 20®. The study will test a new vaccine to see if it can protect against a germ that causes infections in children. The goal is to check if the vaccine is safe and helps the body make antibodies to fight the germ.

Testing Blood Counts in Different People
The purpose of this study is to learn more about different blood cell counts among people from Africa or the Middle East. People from these areas have fewer white blood cells because they don't have a certain red blood cell marker called the Duffy marker. This is normal and not harmful. The goal of this study is to find better blood count ranges for these people to improve their medical care.

Understanding Cancer Fatigue in Survivors
Cancer-related tiredness is a common issue for people who have cancer or have been treated for it. This study aims to understand how cancer survivors and their doctors discuss this tiredness. We want to make a useful poster for exam rooms to improve talking about, diagnosing, and treating this tiredness. We are seeking cancer survivor volunteers who have had at least 1 visit with the Supportive Oncology team at Levine Cancer Institute or the Charlotte or Winston-Salem campus of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. This study will last around 6 months.

Studying Factors for Successful Knee Injury Recovery in Athletes
The purpose of this research study is to find out what helps our patients recover well after a knee ligament injury and surgery. We are looking for healthy volunteers who participate in organized sports, have not hurt their knees before, and have not had surgery on their spine, hip, knee, ankle, or foot. If you volunteer for this study, you will need to come for a single visit lasting about 2 hours. We will contact you for up to 2 years to see if you get any injuries. This study will help researchers learn new information that may help others in the future.

Testing if Oxytocin Helps You Feel Less Heat Pain After a Mild Sunburn
The purpose of this study is to see how oxytocin affects your ability to feel touch and heat. They will give you oxytocin through an IV (a tube in your vein). They will test this on normal skin and on skin that has a mild sunburn from UV-B light. In this study, you will either get oxytocin or a placebo (a fake solution that doesn't do anything).
