Learning More About Dental Cleaning and Bacteria in the Bloodstream
The purpose of this study is to learn more about teeth cleaning and bacteria. We want to see if professional teeth cleaning and taking care of your teeth regularly can change how often and the types of bacteria that get into your bloodstream. The study will last 4 months with 4 in-person visits and 6 phone calls. The visits will include a dental exam, teeth brushing, and professional cleaning. We are looking for volunteers who have 10 more teeth, have not had their teeth professionally cleaned in 12 months or longer, and do not need an antibiotic before a dentist visit. The study team will provide more information.
