The purpose of this study is to see if the medicine Metformin works as well and is as safe as insulin for treating diabetes during pregnancy. We also want to know which treatment pregnant people with diabetes like better and how it affects their pregnancy.
The goal of this study is to learn how a woman's health, including what she eats and the activities she does, affects her and her baby if she gets pregnant. We are inviting women under 40 who are overweight or obese and might become pregnant to volunteer for this study. The study team will provide more details.
